1. General provisions
This policy applies to personal data collected through the sofexpo.uz website and the exhibition pages on it (Foodera Expo, Promotors Show and others). The data controller is the SOF Expo exhibition center in Samarkand (hereinafter “SOF Expo”, “we”).
Data is processed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Personal Data”. By submitting a form on the website, you confirm that you have read this policy and consent to the processing of your data for the purposes described here.
2. What data we collect
The data you enter in a form yourself:
- Stand booking: company name, applicant’s name, phone number, email.
- E-ticket: first and last name, phone, email, country and city, how you heard about the exhibition; for professionals — company and job title.
- Inquiries and other requests (organizers, meeting room, hotel): name, phone, email or Telegram username, company, message and request details (dates, number of participants).
The time of submission and the website language are stored with each request.
To run the website, the hosting provider briefly keeps technical request data (IP address, browser type) for security purposes.
The website does not ask for passport details, bank card numbers or payment information.
3. Why we use the data
- to review your request and contact you;
- to prepare an offer for a stand, space or service;
- to find you on the guest list at the exhibition entrance (by name or phone);
- to inform you about important changes (dates, venue) to an exhibition you registered for;
- for aggregate statistics (for example, how many visitors registered) — without identifying you.
4. Where data is stored and who receives it
Requests are stored in SOF Expo’s protected database. Only SOF Expo managers have access, each with a personal login and password. The connection to the website is encrypted with HTTPS.
We use the following services to process data:
- Vercel — website hosting: receives the form and passes it to the database. Request data is not written to server logs.
- Neon — the database (PostgreSQL) where requests are stored; its servers are located in the European Union.
The servers of these services may be located outside Uzbekistan.
We do not sell your data or share it with others for advertising. Data is disclosed to third parties only where required by law, for example at the request of an authorized government body.
5. Retention period
Data is kept until its purpose is fulfilled, but no longer than 3 years after the exhibition or the work on the request ends. After that it is deleted or anonymized.
If you withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Cookies and analytics
The website does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising trackers.
- Vercel Speed Insights measures page speed: page address, browser and device type, country, loading metrics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
- Yandex Maps — the map on the home page and the contacts page. When the map loads, Yandex may set its own cookies, which are governed by Yandex’s privacy policy.
- Social media links (Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) lead to external websites where those networks’ rules apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- know whether your data is being processed and obtain a copy of it;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data or that its processing be stopped;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- apply to an authorized government body or a court if you believe your rights have been violated.

8. Changes to this policy
When the policy is updated, the new text is published on this page and the date at the top of the page changes. The new text applies to requests submitted after the change.
